B&D is comprised of very talented individuals, both administratively and in the field.  We pride ourselves in hiring the “top talent.”  Eddie Robles of our Mechanical Division is our most recent player to really shine with his latest achievement of earning his Journeyman Plumbing License. With seven years of industry experience, three of which he has worked for B&D, he has served as an apprentice always exhibiting great workmanship and expressing a desire to grow with the company.

Robles, a native New Mexican, didn’t grow up knowing he wanted to be in the trade.  Upon returning home from a deployment in Iraq, he leaned towards working in a trade that would keep him busy; therefore, he sought out work as a helper for electrical and plumbing jobs.  At that time, plumbing was booming and it really appealed to him, so he took an interest in learning the drain end of the trade and quickly began to excel in the service side of work.

On earning his license, Robles stated “I feel becoming a journeyman is important because you know you are fluent with the code book and comfortable with the day to day situations that arise.”  B&D strongly believes that the single most important factor influencing the apprenticeship is the individual apprentice him/herself and their willingness to work hard and learn the trade and of course their own abilities.  “We couldn’t be more proud of Eddie.  He is one of our very best plumbers on staff and one of our ‘go-to service guys,” says Clinton Beall, Senior Vice President.

Robles is a proud father of three and has two grandkids.  His hobbies include playing video games and shooting guns. In ten years, Robles sees himself still in business, performing service work, because that’s what he enjoys most, being able to help people that aren’t able to do the work themselves.  He really enjoys the challenge of figuring out problems that others may give up on.
