Energy Solutions Provider
At B&D Industries, Inc. we take building and redesigning our client’s infrastructure in the most environmentally conscious and cost effective manner.
We strongly support our community by maximizing energy efficiency, minimizing pollution, and utilizing renewable resources whenever we can. B&D accomplishes this by reducing the dependency on the electrical grid and fossil fuels, while also providing advice, education, and promoting environmentally sound solutions. We have an obligation to implement sustainable energy practices whenever possible. We fulfill this goal by utilizing Green Building and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Building practices.
Green Building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources, such as energy, water, and wise material selections, while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building’s lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance and removal.
LEED Building promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
LEED is a certification program, and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance.
B&D was the electrical contractor on the Public Service Company of New Mexico Data Center Design-Build project, the first LEED Silver certified data center in the United States.
