WHAT WE DID
B&D performed as the electrical contractor for the new construction of the F-35 Maintenance Hangar that facilitates maintenance operations for the F-35 Lightning II jets. The facility is 18,740 square feet and includes a drive-thru, four-position aircraft maintenance bay for F-35 aircraft. Additionally, the facility includes a tool room, break room, toilet rooms, and a janitor closet.
Luke Air Force Base (LAFB) just recently changed its mission to include training for the F-35s, and by 2024 LAFB plans to house 144 of the F-35 aircraft. LAFB also intends on hosting pilots from around the world, marking a new era for the base, which was originally commissioned in 1941.
