WHAT WE DID
B&D Industries, Inc. served as the general and electrical contractor for this IGPP design-build project consisting of a 25,000-square-foot, three-story office building. The IGPP building holds occupancy of approximately 120 people with mixed occupancy types from secretarial, lobby, conference room, individual offices, and multi-office spaces. The building also required a space for the electrical, mechanical, security, and communication rooms. Special features included a sound masking system and ample natural lighting, offering a comfortable office environment.
The design is in line with the customer’s Workplace of the Future program for building a LEED Gold-certified building. B&D’s design included a building efficiency of 75 percent. The B&D team installed exterior shading screens on the west and east elevations to reduce solar gain by 60 percent. All offices are equipped with a complete voice and data communications system throughout the entire building. The building is certified LEED Gold, satisfying the customer’s most current building codes, design guide, and design-build building specifications.
