This is useful because even the slightest, smallest changes in temperature sensitivities can identify worn down, overheating, and failing components that may have otherwise gone undetected.
In terms of locating moisture, thermal imagers are able to use the externally determined ambient temperature, humidity, and measured surface temperature to calculate the relative surface moisture. This means leaks, and in turn mold formations, can be spotted before it’s too far gone. And by assessing the heat transfer from the surface temperature, infrared scanning technology can help track air circulation and determine air leakage and temperature distribution issues throughout your home.
